Dissave Pictures is where you find Rory Dean and his wife Malissa. He directed me in their production of "Once Beautiful
Past" Which he wrote as well. He
also produces my "Actors Reel"! He is the man to see if you need one put together. Or a director for your
film! Now, if you need photos?
See Malissa. Her fees are good and and her talent is worth every dime.
T.V.I. (Talent Ventures Inc.) Is very cool. Here is where
you find "Mark Teschner's Master Scene Study Class."
A vary, vary good class that is based around one premise. "It's about the work." Mark is one of best. Any one at
any level could learn lots form him. Along with TVI's ongoing schedule they also offer
an "Actors Intensive!" This is a five day event where
you work with Casting Directors, Agents and other Industry Pro's. It's not cheep but if you really want to get your feet on
the ground. This is a good start. It sure helped me.
Also,
The Actors Casting Workshop is held here too. You have to audition for the group, but once your in your in. You can work with a
Casting Director every week! It’s fantastic. THE ACTORS NETWORK. Power is information. TAN is were you get that. TAN is devoted to the "business" side of the business. Actors support groups, lectures, and classes on how to market yourself, the list goes on and on. Their library is full of books and all the trades. I could spend all day just in the library. And then there is the "Book" the manual. It is my bible. It has info on casting agents, managers, agents and production companies, and more! Getting a hold of the TAN Manual alone is worth the cost of joining. Remember...It's tax deductible! ED HOOKS ,is now based in Chicago, but offers lectures and workshops in other cities. I studied with Ed for well over a year maybe longer when I returned to the business in the 90’s. Although
I had been acting for years it was Ed Hooks who gave it and made it “craft.” All I can say is “the guy is
great!” |
